Unique program pedagogy consisting of ten months of weekend training (Saturday @ 8 hours, including theory & Practical) + 2 months of supervised hospital rotation.
Symbiosis is an Institute with an International Training Centre (ITC) status of the American Heart Association (AHA) and a “Chapter” status of the International Trauma Life Support Organization, USA. The BLS, ACLS, PALS and ITLS modules are included as an integral part of the PGDEMS Programme. Conducted as per the International Programme Guidelines (IPG) of the AHA and the ITLS International, USA, the certifications of these programmes are therefore internationally accepted. Modern teaching methodologies and well-equipped learning resources. Complete set of imported manikins for Adult, Pediatric and Trauma modules. Skill stations are devoted to Low fidelity, Part task trainers and scenario based learning in a simulated hospital set up with a High fidelity Manikin. A rigorous supervised hospital rotation with major Institutional, Hospitals of the city with exposure to various departments like emergency room, ICU, CCU, PICU & NICU, cardiac ambulance calls and various other pre-hospital skills To date, trained more than 8,000 doctors. A few are pursuing advanced studies in EMS at different Universities like London South Bank University, UK. A few are placed overseas in different EMS set up in U.K., UAE and Saudi Arabia etc.
Internationally qualified, experienced pool of faculty. Soft skills training in addition to the basic academic curriculum to ensure an all round personality development to enable effective functioning as an Emergency Medical Professional.

The courses will have 60% Continuous Assessment and 40% Term End [University] examination; however, some courses (not more than 30% of the total programme credits) may have 100% Continuous Assessment.
The assessment of the student for each examination is done based on relative performance. Maximum Grade Point (GP) is 10 corresponding to O (Outstanding).
For all courses, a student is required to pass both internal and external examinations separately with a minimum Grade Point of 4 corresponding to Grade P.
Students securing less than 40% absolute marks in each head of passing will be declared FAIL.
The University awards a degree to the student who has achieved a minimum CGPA of 4 out of maximum 10 CGPA for the programme.
Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Medical Services will be awarded taking into consideration the performance at the Annual Examination after obtaining minimum 4.00 CGPA out of 10 CGPA.
Submission of Certificate of Permanent Registration from the regulatory council is a mandatory requirement for the award of Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Medical Services.

MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BPT, BNYS, B Sc. (Nursing), P. B. B. Sc. Nursing, B. Sc. (Emergency Trauma Care Technology) or its equivalent DHMS (with certified from Homoeopathic Council with its equivalence to a 5 ½ year degree course) with minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade from any statutory/recognized University.
