HEALTH PROMOTING INITIATIVE
Students provide medical assistance to warkaris during Pandharpur Wari and athletes participating in Pune International Marathon. In addition, the institute has trained 1 lakh lay persons in Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course thus contributing to the initiative of SIU as an Health Promoting University.
INTERNATIONALIZATION
Collaboration with international organization AHA, ITLS, RCS, NCS and AAFP aligns with the vision of SIU.
SIMULATION AS AN ASSESSMENT TOOL
The Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) with the use of varying levels of simulation provides the opportunity for the evaluation of critical thinking in a more realistic environment.
