These days, trained women who support and help women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period up to three months following delivery are highly valued and in great demand. Candidates will be qualified to work in hospitals, maternity homes, and with families after completing this program. They are trained to care for the expectant mothers during their pregnancies, labors, breastfeedings, and postpartum support. Research has demonstrated that having this kind of assistance during labor can lower the need for painkillers, cesarean deliveries, and anxiety related to giving birth.
To provide training to non-medical professional woman who provides assistance and support to another woman from the time of fertility through pregnancy, labor, childbirth, postpartum, breastfeeding and bereavement.

Maximum 30 students per batch
Unique program pedagogy consisting of three months of weekend training (Saturday @ 8 hours, including theory & Practical). Modern teaching methodologies and well-equipped learning resources like manikins are provided.
Passed Standard X(10th) or any equivalent grade from any statutory/recognized University.
Age : 18 and above.
The courses will have 60% Continuous Assessment and 40% Term End [University] examination; however, some courses (not more than 30% of the total programme credits) may have 100% Continuous Assessment.
The assessment of the student for each examination is done based on relative performance. Maximum Grade Point (GP) is 10 corresponding to O (Outstanding).
For all courses, a student is required to pass both internal and external examinations separately with a minimum Grade Point of 4 corresponding to Grade P.
Students securing less than 40% absolute marks in each head of passing will be declared FAIL.
The University awards a degree to the student who has achieved a minimum CGPA of 4 out of maximum 10 CGPA for the programme.
